Lexus Warranty Coverage

When you purchase a new Lexus vehicle, you’ll benefit from the following coverages:

Basic Warranty: 48 Months/50,000 Miles

  • Covers the services necessary to repair defective materials or subpar workmanship on any Lexus part. Subject to exceptions.

Powertrain Warranty: 72 Months/70,000 Miles

  • Covers repairs needed to fix defective materials or workmanship of items like engine components, transaxle, transmission, rear-wheel drive system, or front-wheel drive system.

Hybrid Warranty: 8 Years/100,000 Miles – 10 Years/150,000 Miles for 2020 & Newer Models

  • Covers the Hybrid Battery Control Module, Hybrid Control Module, and the Inverter with Converter.

Corrosion Perforation: 72 Months, Regardless of Mileage

  • Covers the replacement or auto repair on any original body panel subject to rust-through, or perforation from corrosion.

Parts Warranty: 12 Months, Regardless of Mileage

  • Covers genuine OEM Lexus parts for a year from the part’s installation date, or for the remainder of the new vehicle warranty — whichever offers more coverage.
  • Covers necessary replacement or auto repair due to a defect in the service part. Subject to exceptions.
  • The parts warranty doesn’t cover car batteries.

Complimentary Maintenance: At 6 Months/5,000 Miles & 12 Months/10,000 Miles

  • Covers the first two scheduled maintenance visits after you buy your new Lexus model.

Lexus Roadside Assistance: 48 Months, Regardless of Mileage

  • Roadside Assistance coverage is offered 24/7 and 365 days of the year.
  • Lexus Enform Safety Connect comes with enhanced Roadside Assistance. It’s complimentary for models with Lexus Safety Connect for 10 years on 2019 and newer Lexus cars.

Enhanced Coverage for Lexus Vehicles

The following are additional warranty protections you can obtain for your Lexus, either when you purchase or parts or extended coverage:

GAP (Guaranteed Asset Protection) Insurance

In the event your car is deemed a “total loss” after an accident, gap insurance can help cover the balance of a loan after depreciation.

Lexus Extended Warranty Vehicle Service Agreements

Even after the Lexus manufacturer warranty expires, the extended warranty will continue to cover most components.

Genuine Lexus Accessories Limited Warranty

  • Covers Lexus accessories purchased at the time of the new vehicle purchase. This warranty lasts for 48 months/50,000 miles.
  • There’s a separate warranty for parts purchased after the new vehicle purchase date. Accessories purchased after the new vehicle purchase and installed by a certified Lexus service center are covered for 1 year from the installation date, or for the rest of the new vehicle warranty (whichever offers more coverage).

L/Certified Warranty – Up to 6 Years/Unlimited Miles for Certified Pre-Owned Lexus Models

  • Covers the replacement or repair of components that break or wear down in normal conditions due to a defect or subpar workmanship. Coverage extends to the engine, transmission, steering, brakes (excluding rotors and pads), restraint systems, fuel system, cooling, A/C and heating systems, and electrical systems.
  • Includes benefits like roadside assistance, trip interruption coverage, and more.
